John has been in the Gas Detection industry for over 30 years with experience of both, fixed and portable markets. Having started “on the tools”, building and commissioning fixed systems, he progressed to service management, then sales and currently, UK Director of GfG Gas Detection UK Ltd.
John is a keen golfer and football fan, a season ticket holder at his beloved Reading FC. John is married with 2 children and lives in Buckinghamshire.
Julian has been in the Gas Detection industry for the last eleven years after many years in the electronics industry and specialises in Fixed and Portable Gas Detection Systems and PID Technology.

He is a NEBOSH qualified Health & Safety professional with Occupational Health experience in Sound, Vibration, Solvent and Dust measurement who also has a technical understanding of both the Flue Gas and Ground Gas Monitoring industries.
Julian is married with two teenage daughters and lives in Cheshire
Chris has worked for GfG for the past 4 years and has been in the Gas Detection industry for the past 17 years. Having studied radio & television electronics, he designs “custom made” fixed gas detection solutions, delivers product training and provides technical support and advice for fixed and portable gas detection equipment.
In his spare time Chris enjoys amateur Radio, electronics projects and travelling the world. Chris is married with 2 children and lives in Oxfordshire.
Ken Grant has worked for GfG for 8 years. Initially the materials and production controller he progressed to the service department. He is now responsible for preparing new orders, in-house servicing, on-site service and training. In his spare time he enjoys watching football, mountain biking and going to the gym. Ken is engaged and lives in Essex.
Claire has worked at GfG for over 4 years. Progressing from an office administration role, she is now the office and accounts manager
In her spare time, Claire is secretary for her village football team, enjoys baking (chocolate brownies are her speciality..!!), walking her dog and socialising with friends. Claire is married with 2 children and lives in Essex.
Rowan joined the team in 2015 bringing with her over 25 years of experience in administration and sales support.
Rowan is a keen gardener and enjoys traveling the world and socialising with friends. Rowan is married and lives in Essex.
David Laird supports our customers in Scotland and the North East. Having spent many years in sales and customer support, David is experienced in building correct value propositions by properly understanding customer’s needs. He is dedicated to forming fully supported business partnerships with our customers to ensure that we can continue to offer a bespoke sales, installation and support service. David is a rugby enthusiast and played for 35 years until retiring at the age of 43.
